Team Logson raises over £15,000 for cancer charities

Just a couple of weeks ago Team Logson took part in the 10-mile Tough Mudder challenge in Yorkshire.
Raising money for two charities, Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer UK, the team dug deep and epitomised the true spirit of teamwork; supporting each other through a series of challenging obstacles and activities that tested both body and spirit.
As a result, the team raised a little over £7500 in total which is charity matched by our parent company creating a total of over £15,000!
“What a challenge Tough Mudder was for us all, however it was nothing compared to the challenges that cancer patients have to go through,” said David Richardson, CEO, Logson Group and Tough Mudder participant. “All of us have seen people with a cancer diagnosis and the varying journeys they then go on. Whether it’s friends, family, husbands or wives, cancer brings an unwanted dimension to everyone’s lives. Doing this challenge to raise money for ongoing vital research was the least we could do.”
Team members were David Richardson, CEO, Dan Watts, Group Head of Health and Safety and Bernice Andrew, Group Procurement Director from Logson; Dan Morris, MD and Percy Sowden, GM from Durham Box; Ross Neale, Operations Director from Jardin Corrugated; Matt Herd, Commercial Director at Cardboard Box Company; Frank Hay, Group Managing Director at Board 24 and Harvey Richardson.
David concluded; “Whilst it really was tough and muddy, we did have a great day! My thanks to all colleagues for giving up their time and to everyone who donated so generously– what will next year’s team challenge be?!”
