Boxes and Packaging (Swindon) are on the Move

10 Feb 2015

Boxes and Packaging are pleased to announce that the Swindon site is relocating into a modern energy efficient building just three miles away from its present location. The relocation will commence at the beginning of April and the site will be fully operational by May 2015.

As part of the £1m relocation plans, Boxes and Packaging will also be investing in new machinery in the form of a new 3.2 metre printer slotter rotary die cutter to complement existing machinery. The new premises provide 56,900 sq. ft. of modern industrial accommodation, with a total site area of approximately 2.7 acres. Facilities include a two storey office block and a large production area. The site specification is designed together with the new machine to increase capacity by over 30%, by routing production throughput more efficiently.

Situated at the rear of the building is a fully enclosed warehouse which will double the amount of storage capacity for the site. It provides nine ground floor loading / unloading bays, which are fully contained to respect both the safety of our employees and the ease of operation. There will also be a new 50 metre long mezzanine floor, to give extra capacity for services.

Paul Fishlock, Swindon Managing Director, commented; “We are delighted to be moving to new premises, as we will be able to step up our growth plans considerably. We feel it is an important move that will allow us to expand our product offering and improve customer service.”

Gavin Richardson, Boxes and Packaging UK CEO, added; “This is the next logical step in the ongoing success of Boxes and Packaging Swindon. The investment demonstrates our commitment to our customers and our determination to continue to provide them with innovative packaging solutions, high quality products and excellent customer service.”
