Logson Group is delighted to welcome aboard Bob McLellan, the former CEO of DS Smith Packaging, to the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

McLellan, who retired from DS Smith in April this year, commented that the role of independents in the corrugated sector is a critical part of the market structure to give customers choice, and to ensure that specialist niches and the trade market are strong and vibrant. He said: “I’m delighted to join Logson Group to help the business develop its ambitious strategies. I believe the Group is dynamic, fun to be part of and has a great future ahead of it.”

Ian Loggie and Mike Stephenson, joint owners, will continue their executive roles of CEO and FD respectively. The four trading divisions of Board 24, Boxes and Packaging, Inspirepac and Cases24 will continue to be run as per the existing corporate structure.

Commenting on the appointment, Logson Chief Executive, Ian Loggie, said: “Bob will bring great value, knowledge and wisdom to our business which will help the Group develop its skills and asset base.”

The Logson Group brand stands for excellent service standards, offering customers efficiency, flexibility, stability and reliability of supply. Collectively the Group employs over 800 people and turns over £180m annually.
