Logson Group appoints new CEO to Boxes and Packaging

UK-based packaging business Logson Group, has appointed Gavin Richardson as CEO of Boxes and Packaging.

Richardson was appointed from DS Smith to head up the corrugated packaging business Boxes and Packaging and will be working across its 11 UK-wide businesses to further expand and grow the division in line with the Logson Group’s ambitious strategy.

Richardson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Boxes and Packaging at this exciting time. The Logson Group of companies is led by a terrific, entrepreneurial team through Mike Stephenson and Ian Loggie and as a result has experienced significant growth and an on-going programme of investment.

“There are great opportunities on the horizon for Boxes and Packaging. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and to being instrumental in shaping the business for further growth.By continuing to invest in the best possible resources, we will ensure that we can provide our customers with optimal service and products.”

Over the past six years, the Logson Group’s founders Ian Loggie and Mike Stephenson have acquired a series of corrugated packaging companies, and officially formed the ‘Logson Group’ as a parent brand in response to an increasing market demand.

This UK-based group operates from bases across the UK as the parent brand to Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Cases24 and inspirepac, and collectively employs over 800 people and turns over £180m annually, with Boxes and Packaging approaching £50m. The Logson Group brand stands for excellent service standards, offering customers efficiency, flexibility, stability and reliability of supply.
